Seeking clarity with wisdom and care

While continuing to be saturated in prayer, in Phase 2 we will move to a period of planning. Planning is not a lack of faith. It is one of the ways we steward what God has already entrusted to us. As we listen for the Lord’s leading, we also seek to understand the practical realities in front of us.

The Plan phase is about clarity. It is about gathering information, and inviting wise counsel so that when a door opens, we are prepared to walk through it faithfully.

Phase 2: PLAN

What This Phase Is About

The Plan phase is a season of discernment and preparation as we explore realistic options for our future, particularly around location and long-term sustainability.

This is a time to:

  • Gather accurate information and realistic options

  • Seek wise counsel and outside expertise when helpful

  • Clarify needs, priorities, and constraints

  • Count the cost with honesty and humility

We believe good planning creates space for faithful obedience.

What This Phase Is Not

The Plan phase is not about:

  • Moving ahead without prayer

  • Comparing ourselves to other churches

  • Forcing outcomes or timelines

Planning serves discernment, not the other way around.

What Planning May Include

As part of this phase, planning may involve:

  • Exploring potential locations or space options

  • Evaluating feasibility, costs, and timelines

  • Considering how ministry needs, especially for families and kids, are best supported

  • Listening carefully to congregational input and survey feedback

  • Working with outside churches, organizations, and consultants

All of this work is done with the goal of clarity, not speed.
