Strengthened for the season ahead.
On Sunday, January 11, 2026, Pastor Chase announced that we are pursuing membership with Acts 29. This step is part of how we are seeking to steward The Next Corner wisely, ensuring that as we discern what’s next, we are supported, sharpened, and accountable within a healthy network of churches.
Acts 29 is not a denomination and does not govern our church. Rather, it is a global family of churches committed to planting, strengthening, and multiplying healthy, gospel-centered churches. As we look ahead, we believe this partnership aligns well with who we are and where God may be leading us.
Why Acts 29, and Why Now?
As our church has grown and matured, so has our need for continued wisdom, encouragement, and accountability. The Next Corner is not only about space or logistics, but about long-term faithfulness. Pursuing Acts 29 membership is one way we are intentionally surrounding ourselves with trusted voices who can help us navigate this season well.
This pursuit reflects a desire to remain rooted in the gospel while continuing to grow in health, clarity, and mission.
What Acts 29 Is Not
Acts 29 is not:
A governing authority over our church
A denomination
A replacement for our elders’ leadership
A shortcut to growth or success
Our elders retain full spiritual oversight and decision-making responsibility. Acts 29 provides counsel and support, not control.
What Acts 29 Provides
Acts 29 exists to support local churches, not replace them. Through this network, churches receive:
Theological training and doctrinal alignment
Ongoing coaching and peer relationships
Leadership development and assessment
Care and support for pastors and their families
A global perspective on church planting and mission
These resources serve as guardrails and encouragement as we discern next steps together.
