[WHAT IS THIS ]We believe God is leading our church into a new season, and we’re calling it The Next Corner. This season includes actively exploring a non-portable location, pursuing partnership with a church network called Acts 29, and more but at its heart, it’s about our whole church growing deeper in faith and dependence on God. The Next Corner is more than just making plans. It’s about trusting God.
God has been faithful to us every step of the way, and we’re trusting Him to keep leading as we take this next step together.
If you’re not sure what all this means or how to feel about it, that’s okay. This website is here to help explain what this season looks like, why we’re taking it one step at a time, and how you can be part of it.
[ 2026 congregational survey ]■
As we seek what God may have next for us in terms of our location and long-term ministry, we want to move forward with both faith and wisdom. God has been faithful to lead us every step of the way, and one of the ways we steward this next season well is by listening carefully to the church family He has brought together. Our congregational survey was a simple but important part of that process, helping us pray, plan, and discern together as we trust the Lord to guide our next steps.

“The Next Corner isn’t just about where we meet. It’s about how we move forward. With humility, prayer, and our eyes fixed on Jesus, we step into the unknown trusting that He will lead us.”

Here are the answers to a few questions you may have. click the FAQs tab to see the answers to questions that were asked from the congregational survey.Questions you may be asking:
-
Over the past several years, God has steadily grown our church and clarified our calling in this community. We’ve reached a season where the limitations of our current setup are becoming more apparent, especially as we think about long-term discipleship, kids ministry, and sustainability. This isn’t a reaction to pressure or urgency, but a recognition that it’s wise to begin discerning next steps rather than waiting until options are forced upon us.
-
Our mission has always been about seeing lives transformed by the Word of God, not about buildings. A future location is only important insofar as it helps us faithfully live out that mission. The Next Corner is about stewarding what God has entrusted to us so that we can continue to gather, connect, grow, and go for years to come.
-
At this time, we are grateful for the opportunity to meet at the high school and are not rushing away from it. That said, we are prayerfully exploring what a more permanent or consistent space could look like for the future. Any transition would be intentional, well-communicated, and focused on long-term faithfulness rather than short-term convenience.
-
Both possibilities are being explored. Part of the Pray and Plan stages is gathering information and understanding what options are realistic, wise, and sustainable for our church. No decisions have been made, and no option is off the table at this stage.
-
We believe clarity comes through prayer, wise counsel, and unity over time. Moving from Pray to Plan will not be marked by a single moment, but by a growing sense of peace, alignment among leadership, and practical clarity about realistic options. We are committed to moving at a pace that allows prayer to genuinely shape our decisions.
-
Any future space must support our mission, serve families well, and be a wise stewarding of resources. That includes space for kids ministry, gathering as a whole church, accessibility, and financial sustainability.
-
While nothing is guaranteed, one of our ongoing goals has been to create rhythms that make it possible for people to both serve and participate in the gathered worship of the church, particularly for those serving in Corners Kids and other Sunday ministries. Models like a “serve one, attend one” rhythm are one of the ways we think about this, not because serving is separate from worship, but because we believe serving is worship, and we also want people to regularly experience the full gathered life of the church.
Any changes would be made thoughtfully and communicated well in advance. -
The elders carry the responsibility of spiritual oversight and major directional decisions, with staff and. our newly formed finance team providing leadership, research, and implementation support.
This process also includes listening carefully to the congregation through prayer, conversation, and surveys. -
Yes, we are seeking wise counsel where helpful, including our new partnership with Act 29, and other professionals with experience in church facilities and long-term planning. These advisors help us ask better questions, but they will not make decisions for us.
-
The Next Corner begins with prayer and discernment, not fundraising. Giving will be discussed later, if and when it becomes appropriate, and always in a way that is clear, voluntary, and rooted in worship rather than pressure.
-
If a season of giving becomes necessary, it will include clear goals and timelines. We believe clarity is a form of care, and we will not ask the church to give toward something vague or undefined.
-
Unity does not require uniformity. Questions, hesitations, and different perspectives are expected and welcomed. Our hope is not that everyone agrees on every detail, but that we walk together in trust and love.
-
With humility, patience, and open communication. We want to create space for honest questions and respectful conversation, trusting that God works through His people as we listen well to one another.
-
We trust that God’s faithfulness is not dependent on a single plan or outcome. If a door closes, we will continue to seek the Lord and take the next faithful step He places in front of us.
-
By continually reminding ourselves that buildings serve the mission, not the other way around. The goal of The Next Corner is not a facility, but faithfulness to Christ and His calling on our church.
